Gael Monfils has defeated Adrian Mannarino to reach the third round of Wimbledon for the first time in four years.
The number 18 seed battled through a tough opening set before getting the job done 7-6(5) 6-3 6-3 on Court Three.

Both players held throughout a tight first set, forcing a tie-break which the Frenchman just about edged with his second set point to take a crucial lead.
Mannarino was unable to break his opponent again in the second, losing his own serve in the fourth game to see Monfils close in on the next round.
Monfils, who will now meet another compatriot in Gilles Simon later this week, did let the 27-year-old back into things in the third set at 3-3, but he was able to get the job done in a simple manner.
