Roger Federer says that his early-tournament nerves are beginning to subside at Wimbledon.

Roger Federer has declared that he was less nervous during his victory over Lukas Lacko in the second round of Wimbledon than he was during his opening match.

The defending champion, who won the contest 6-4 6-4 6-1, said that he is pleased with his form at the tournament so far.

"I played very well. I felt good out there and had less nerves than in the first round," he told BBC Sport.

"I am happy how I am hitting the ball, good concentration on my service games and I'm able to mix it up with some slices and coming over on returns.

"You can control service games more than return games, but most important is to have fun as well."

Federer will take on Germany's Jan-Lennard Struff in round three.
