Belgian player David Goffin reaches the third round of the Paris Masters with a straight-sets win over Dusan Lajovic.

David Goffin has progressed to the third round of the Paris Masters following a straight-sets victory over Serbian Dusan Lajovic.

The Belgian took less than an hour to defeat the world number 87 6-2 6-2.

The early stages of the opening set went with serve, but it was Goffin who produced a break in the third game and then another in the fifth to move 5-2 ahead. He made no mistake in wrapping up the set, serving it out at the first opportunity.

Goffin maintained his form into the second set, breaking the Lajovic serve twice in succession to establish another three-game lead.

Lajovic fought back with a break of his own to bring the lead back down to two games, but world number 16 Goffin broke again immediately before wrapping up the set and the match on his own serve.
