Kyle Edmund moves to a career-high of 26th spot in the ATP world rankings, but Johanna Konta loses ground in the WTA standings.

Kyle Edmund has moved into 26th place in the ATP world rankings as a result of reaching the semi-finals of the Australian Open.

The 23-year-old remains below Andy Murray - who is now 20th - in the standings, but the British number two is now among the top 32 players in the world for the first time in his career.

Roger Federer remains at number two - despite winning his 20th Grand Slam crown - while Marin Cilic is up to third after his run to the final in Melbourne.

Rafael Nadal holds a 155-point advantage at the top of the rankings, although the Spaniard faces a number of weeks on the sidelines through injury.

In the WTA standings, British number one Johanna Konta has dropped outside of the world's top 10 after losing in the second round at the first Grand Slam of the year.

Heather Watson is down to 75th position after her defeat in the first round.
