Richard Gasquet has reached round three of the Cincinnati Open thanks to a straight-sets triumph over Thanasi Kokkinakis.
Kokkinakis powered into a 4-1 lead in the first-set tie-break, but 12th seed Gasquet fought back to take it 7-5.
The Frenchman had less trouble in the second as he wrapped up a 7-6(5) 6-2 win over the Australian.
Gasquet will take on US Open champion and seventh seed Marin Cilic in the next round.
