Great Britain's Liam Pitchford has advanced to the third round of the men's table tennis singles after beating Admir Duranspahic at the European Games.

Pitchford trailed the match 2-0, but fought back to win the second-round match 4-2 against Bosnia and Herzegovina's Duranspahic.

The Briton will play Wang Yang for a place in the quarter-finals after the Slovakian's opponent, Timo Boll, withdrew through an illness which also kept him out of yesterday's team event.

Earlier in the day, Pitchford's teammate Paul Drinkhall also progressed to the third round.
