Mark Selby to face Kurt Maflin at World Championship

Defending champion Mark Selby will begin his 2015 World Championship campaign against Norwegian qualifier Kurt Maflin.

Mark Selby has been handed a first-round encounter with Norwegian qualifier Kurt Maflin at the World Championship in Sheffield.

The 31-year-old, who won the title in 2014, will open the tournament against a player who thrashed Steve Davis in one of his three qualifying matches ahead of the last 32.

Selby could face 2010 winner Neil Robertson in the semi-finals, with the Australian being drawn against Welshman Jamie Jones in the first round.

In the other half of the draw, five-time champion Ronnie O'Sullivan plays debutant Craig Steadman, while former world number one Judd Trump goes up against Stuart Carrington.
