Ronnie O'Sullivan focused on World Championship after Welsh Open joy

Welsh Open champion Ronnie O'Sullivan says that he plans to 'chill out' for the next month ahead of the 2016 World Championship in Sheffield.

Ronnie O'Sullivan has turned his attention towards winning a sixth world title after claiming success in the 2016 Welsh Open in Cardiff.

The 40-year-old battled back from 5-2 down in the first session to claim an impressive 9-5 victory over Neil Robertson in Sunday evening's final.

A break of 141 in the final frame was a fitting way for the Rocket to win the competition for a fourth time, but he admitted after the gruelling match that the week-long tournament had taken its toll mentally.

"I feel shattered," he told BBC Sport. "I need a month of just relaxing, recharge the batteries and give Sheffield a good push, that is the one that everyone wants.

"I am not eligible for any other tournaments as I did not qualify, so my cue will be chilling out for a month or so."

O'Sullivan, who controversially turned down a 147 maximum break in the opening stages of the tournament, also won last month's Masters title at Alexandra Palace in London.
