Georgios Achilleos and Andri Eleftheriou have secured Cyprus's first medal of the inaugural European Games in the mixed team skeet event.

The pair hit 29 of their 32 targets to scoop silver at the Baku Shooting Centre, while gold was claimed by Italy's Diana Bacosi and Valerio Luchini.

There was a 15th medal of the Games for France, meanwhile, courtesy of Lucie Anastassiou and Anthony Terras who won the bronze-medal match against Slovakia.

Both Achilleos and Eleftheriou failed to advance beyond the qualifying rounds in the individual skeet events earlier this week.
