Saracens head coach Mark McCall has insisted that there is no reason why his side cannot continue their recent success in the coming years.
Sarries completed a famous double with a 28-20 victory over Exeter Chiefs at Twickenham this afternoon, adding a second consecutive Premiership crown to the European title they won a fortnight ago.
They missed out on the European and domestic double in 2014 courtesy of defeats to Toulon and Northampton Saints respectively, and McCall admitted that those setbacks spurred them on to their subsequent success.
"We all remember what it felt like two years ago when we lost two finals in a row, the second of them here in the last second of extra time. It was painful and as hard as it gets. Then to have the two seasons we've had since then," he told reporters.
"You can only play 33 games in a season and we've lost four. That's not a bad record and it indicates that we don't pick and choose our games, but front up all the time. If we keep that up I don't see why we won't be back in these sorts of games. The age profile of the squad is good, is really good.
"Everybody is signed up for the next two to three seasons. The spine of the team is there, but the Premiership is always getting better. We've got to stay hungry and motivated and no doubt we will."
Saracens are the first team to complete the domestic and European double since Wasps in 2004.
