New Zealand captain Richie McCaw will be available for the Rugby World Cup after escaping a citing for a collision in the semi-final.

Richie McCaw is free to play in the Rugby World Cup final after escaping a citation in the semi-final victory over South Africa.

The New Zealand captain collided with Francois Louw during the match but World Rugby has confirmed that there are no citings from the match.

The 34-year-old appeared to elbow Louw, and a citing would have resulted in a two-week ban for the player.

McCaw will lead the All Blacks against Australia on Saturday.
