Manu Tuilagi is ruled out of England's tour to Australia due to a hamstring injury.

Manu Tuilagi will play no part in England's tour of Australia due to a hamstring injury.

The Leicester Tigers centre suffered the problem during his club's 44-17 defeat to Saracens in the Premiership semi-final on Saturday.

Despite doubts over his fitness, the 25-year-old was included in the England squad, but after undergoing a scan on Monday, he has been ruled out of the three-Test tour.

"It's bad luck for Manu so close to the tour but it provides a great opportunity for someone else," said England head coach Eddie Jones. "We wish Manu all the best and a quick recovery."

Tuilagi's replacement will be announced on May 29.
