Hull FC come out 27-26 winners following a dramatic Super League clash against Warrington Wolves at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Marc Sneyd's drop goal in the dying seconds was enough for Hull FC to pull off an impressive comeback at the Halliwell Jones Stadium as they claimed a 27-26 victory over Warrington Wolves.

Jordan Thompson forced his way over the whitewash from close range to get the visitors off to a flying start, although the Wire hit back with two tries of their own in quick succession.

A kick from Declan Patton was well caught by Joel Monaghan in the build-up to Warrington's opener, before Ben Currie turned the game around three minutes later.

Both of these sides were in identical form heading into this fixture, each winning three of their last four, and there was little between them when Setaimata Sa, a match-winner last week, powered over to level up the try count.

Scrum-half Sneyd danced his way through prior to the break to give Hull a slender lead heading into the interval, but it was Tony Smith's men who came out the stronger following the restart.

A second try of the afternoon for Monaghan, which was followed up just moments later by Gene Ormsby, allowed the home side to claim a vital lead.

There was still plenty of drama to come, though, beginning with Orsmby doubling his personal tally for the afternoon with less than 20 minutes to go, before the Black and Whites mounted a late surge.

A second try in as many games for Mark Minichiello kicked things off, and Tom Lineham followed suit to make it game on, although Sneyd was unable to add the extras to see the score locked at 26-26 in the dying seconds.

It was the heroics of Sneyd which eventually won the contest for the visitors, however, with his drop goal securing the points for Hull right on the hooter, taking them up to eighth place in the Super League.
