Wakefield Trinity Wildcats score eight tries in an emphatic 48-18 victory over Bradford Bulls in the Super League Super 8.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have picked up their first win in the Super League Super 8 qualifiers, crushing Bradford Bulls 48-18 this afternoon.

The home side looked the stronger of the two sides from the start as Jon Molloy and Michael Sio both crossed the line inside the opening 10 minutes.

Nick Scruton, Tim Smith and Reece Lyne all added further to the score for the hosts as they continued to dominate possession, but the visitors got off the mark just before half time as Adrian Purtell went over in the corner.

Dale Ferguson continued the Bradford comeback early in the second half, but the hosts continued to find the gaps, resulting in three more tries to end any hope of a Bulls resurgence.

James Clare added a late consolation for the visitors, squeezing through on the full-time hooter, but it was not enough for the side to avoid a heavy defeat.

Both sides have now won once and suffered a defeat during the Super 8 phase.
