West Bromwich Albion's new owner promises a free drink for every supporter at the Baggies' Premier League home opener against Everton.

Guochuan Lai has promised to purchase every West Bromwich Albion supporter a drink ahead of the first home game of the club's new era.

The Chinese entrepreneur, who has already vowed to stand by manager Tony Pulis, completed a deal to buy the Baggies last week and is eager to quickly win over supporters.

Albion travel to Crystal Palace this Saturday in their Premier League opener, before welcoming Everton to The Hawthorns the following weekend.

Every fan attending that home clash with the Toffees will be rewarded with a drink, although no further details have been given by Albion at this point.

The takeover of the West Midlands outfit is thought to have been worth more than £150m, signalling the start of some changes high up in the West Brom hierarchy.
