Video: German firm releases gay football advert

A German rail company releases a new advert featuring a young man supporting his football-playing boyfriend.

German Railways has released a new advert that aims to help tackle the problem of homophobia in football.

The two-minute commercial sees a young man using Germany's train system to follow his football-playing boyfriend around the country.

"The film is a cinematic love letter," said Franzi Heusel, CEO of the ad agency BBDO Berlin. "And it is just at the time of the [Euro 2016 soccer] championship, a true statement."
