Real Madrid and Wales attacker Gareth Bale has revealed that he asked long-term girlfriend Emma Rhys-Jones to marry him on his birthday weekend.
Bale, who turned 27 on Saturday, took to social media to announce the news, claiming that he will remember this weekend "for a long time" after his partner accepted the offer of marriage.

Bale has two children with his high-school sweetheart Emma Rhys-Jones - Alba Violet, who was born in October 2012, and Nava Valentina, who was born in March 2016.
