Olympiacos, Mexico striker Alan Pulido rescued after kidnapping

Mexican authorities confirm that Olympiacos striker Alan Pulido has been rescued safely after getting kidnapped in his homeland on Saturday night.

Mexican authorities have confirmed that Olympiacos striker Alan Pulido has been rescued after getting kidnapped in Tamaulipas on Saturday night.

The 25-year-old, who has made six appearances for Mexico, was believed to have been taken by six masked men after leaving a party just outside of his hometown of Ciudad Victoria.

According to The AP, security forces rescued Pulido just before midnight and the footballer is now being assessed by medics.

Pulido joined Greek outfit Olympiacos last year from Levadiakos.
