Non-League footballer Ethan Hedley dies in car crash

Nineteen-year-old Ethan Hedley, who played for Non-League outfit Buxton FC, loses his life in a car crash.

It has been confirmed that Ethan Hedley was killed in a car crash on Friday evening.

The tragedy happened when the Vauxhall Corsa that Hedley was travelling in collided with a Ford Mondeo in Armthorpe, Doncaster.

The 19-year-old played for Buxton FC, who are currently members of the Northern League Premier Division.

"Ethan certainly had something about him. He was a box-to-box midfielder and [assistant manager] Tim Ryan was hopeful that with a full pre-season behind him he would go on to big things," club secretary Tony Tomlinson told the Buxton Advertiser.

Two other passengers in the Corsa suffered injuries, while both drivers were unharmed.
