Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly collected around £1,000 from his players and staff after drawing Sergio Garcia in a Masters sweepstake.

The Spaniard claimed his first Major title earlier this month following a playoff with Justin Rose at Augusta, propelling him up to seventh in the World Golf Rankings.

According to The Telegraph, the United players and staff held a sweepstake at Carrington before the tournament as "a team-bonding exercise" and Mourinho pulled out Garcia.

The manager is thought to have walked away with around £1,000 as a result of his win, having taken part in the draw despite not being keen on the sport.

Mourinho earns around £265,000 a week in his role as United boss.
