Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel appears on Slovak talent show 'Superstar'

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel broke away from his duties as a footballer to feature on Slovak talent show Superstar.

The 30-year-old, who will be part of the Slovakia squad to take on Iceland in an international friendly on Tuesday, was invited to watch the filming of the show, which is the country's version of Pop Idol.

Skrtel posed for pictures at the judges' table alongside Slovakian musician Pavol Habera, ice hockey player Jan Lasak and Eurovision 2015 contestant Marta Jandova.

The defender helped Slovakia claim a 3-2 victory over Switzerland at the Stadion Antona Malatinskeho on Friday evening.
