Liverpool are reportedly considering taking sportswear brand Nike to court over the announcement made on their website that Philippe Coutinho had joined Barcelona.

The promotional advert on the website, which said that Coutinho is "ready to light up Camp Nou" offered the chance to buy a Barca strip with the Brazilian's name on the back.

According to ESPN Brazil, Liverpool are angered by Nike's conduct and are ready to take the company to court over their latest move.

Coutinho is again being linked with a move to the Spanish giants after the club failed with three bids for the 25-year-old in last year's summer transfer window.

The Brazilian has been key for Jurgen Klopp's side this term after previously admitting that he did consider a move to Barcelona.
