Anfield will reportedly host Brazil in a World Cup warm-up game with Croatia in June.

The fixture, which has been pencilled in for June 3 according to the Liverpool Echo, could see Philippe Coutinho return to his former club after switching from Merseyside to Barcelona in January.

The newspaper, quoting sources in Croatia, adds that Stamford Bridge was also considered as a host venue, but Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren pushed for Anfield to entertain the fixture.

The game, if confirmed, could pit Lovren against Reds teammate Roberto Firmino. Roma goalkeeper Allison, for whom Liverpool allegedly made a bid in January, could also play.

Liverpool's next game at their home ground is against West Ham United later this month.
