Andy Murray meets Eric Cantona after win at Roland Garros

Andy Murray says that he offered to take Eric Cantona for a tennis lesson after they met soon after the conclusion of his match with Stanislas Wawrinka at Roland Garros.

Andy Murray has said that he would be happy to take Eric Cantona for a tennis lesson after the two met at Roland Garros on Friday.

Murray had just reached the French Open final for the first time in his career with a four-set victory over Stanislas Wawrinka before he met up with the former French football star during his cool-down.

Cantona made his name in English football during his time at Manchester United but the 50-year-old told the British number one that he had recently tried his hand at tennis.

Murray is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "We mainly spoke about football. Not too much tennis.

"He said he's just had three tennis lessons. I told him if he's ever around the Wimbledon area I'd take him for a lesson at Wimbledon."

Murray is scheduled to face Novak Djokovic in Sunday's final in Paris.
