Wembley officials inform supporters that an "enhanced search policy" will be in place for tonight's international friendly between England and the Netherlands.

Organisers at Wembley have informed supporters that an "enhanced search policy" will be in place ahead of tonight's international friendly between England and the Netherlands.

Fans have also been advised to leave bags at home in order to "assist with entry to the stadium" prior to the 8pm kickoff.

Security has been tightened at football stadiums around Europe ever since November's terrorist attacks in Paris, when two suicide bombers blew themselves up outside the Stade de France during an international fixture between France and Germany.

The authorities have also been on high alert after 32 people were killed in two terrorist attacks across Brussels last week.

This afternoon, Wembley officials tweeted: "Bags aren't prohibited for the #England game tonight at #Wembley but we would discourage bringing them to assist with entry to the stadium. An enhanced search policy will be in place for today's #England game at #Wembley. Please allow extra time to enter the stadium."

England head into tonight's match on the back of last weekend's 3-2 victory over Germany in Berlin.
