Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus confirms that he has passed his driving test almost two years after he was fined for driving without a valid licence.

Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus has passed his driving test almost two years after he was fined over half a million euros for driving without a valid licence.

The 27-year-old hit the headlines in November 2014 when it emerged that he had been driving for years with a fake Dutch driving document.

Due to his high salary, he was subsequently fined £469,000 (540,000 euros) by a district court in Dortmund, but according to Sky Sports News, he passed his theory and practical parts of the test on Monday.

"Yes, it's true that I've passed my driving test. I am pleased that this chapter is now closed," Reus told German newspaper Bild.

The Germany international, who missed Euro 2016, did not feature in pre-season or in the German Supercup for Dortmund as he continues to recover from injury.
