Result: England thrash Scotland in Auld Enemy Netball World Cup opener

England beat Scotland 60-19 at the Netball World Cup in Sydney.

England have beaten Scotland 60-19 in their opening match of the Netball World Cup in Sydney.

Dominating from the start, England took a 13-5 lead into the second quarter, where they extended their advantage by a further eight points to 27-11 at half time.

Their lead kept growing and, after scoring 18 baskets in the final quarter, and conceding just two, they secured the victory.

England's campaign will continue against Jamaica tomorrow, while Scotland will play Samoa.
