Aaron Baddeley increases the pressure on Barbasol Championship pacesetter Jhonattan Vegas by carding a third-round 64 to cut his rival's lead in half.

Jhonattan Vegas had his lead halved at the top of the Barbasol Championship leaderboard before bad weather cut play short on day three.

The Venezuelan opened up a six-stroke advantage at the end of the second round in Alabama, but dropped one shot on Saturday to fall to 16-under-par for the tournament.

Vegas still leads Aaron Baddeley by three shots, with the Aussie carding a seven-under-par 64 - including three-straight birdies to round things off and remain in contention heading into the final day.

Half the field will finish their third round on Sunday due to the heavy rain, although it is hoped that the tournament will still be finished at the scheduled time.

Six players from the United States are locked in a tie for fourth, while fellow American David Toms is in third place behind top two Vegas and Baddeley.
