Rory McIlroy to change putting grip at WGC-Cadillac Championship

Four-time Major winner Rory McIlroy confirms that he is changing his putting grip to a left-hand-low technique just five weeks before The Masters.

World number three Rory McIlroy has confirmed that he will change his putting grip at the upcoming WGC-Cadillac Championship, just five weeks before The Masters.

The Northern Irishman posted the below video on his Instagram page earlier today showing a left-hand-low grip being used.

When asked at a press conference today if he was switching back to his old technique, which he used in his rookie year in 2008, McIlroy confirmed to reporters that he was.

Put some good work in the last few days, ready for the blue monster this week!

Four-time Major winner McIlroy has never triumphed in the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Trump National Doral, a tournament that former world number Tiger Woods has won seven times.
