Mercedes's Lewis Hamilton clocks the fastest time in the third and final practice session of the Italian Grand Prix, while Nico Rosberg is second.

Mercedes sealed a one-two in the final practice session of the Italian Grand Prix as Lewis Hamilton clocked the fastest time ahead of teammate Nico Rosberg at Monza.

The reigning world champion blitzed around the course to record a lap time of 1:22.008, while Rosberg was second quickest and Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel was third.

Vettel's teammate Kimi Raikkonen set a personal best on super-soft tyres, but he was still 1.1 seconds off Hamilton's lap, meaning that he had to settle for fourth on the timesheet.

Romain Grosjean suffered some problems in his Haas as he slipped off the track, which required the virtual safety car to be deployed.

Renault's Jolyon Palmer also had a wobble as he lost control of the car on the final corner in the closing minutes of the session.
