Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly on the brink of announcing the loan signing of Porto defender Willy Boly.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly moved to the brink of completing the signing of Porto defender Willy Boly.

Since his arrival at Molineux, head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has made numerous additions to his backline and it appears that he is closing in on another defensive acquisition.

According to L'Equipe, Wolves will confirm the arrival of Boly on Wednesday, with the centre-back moving to England on a season-long loan deal.

Boly worked under Nuno at Porto last season, but he was restricted to just five appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese giants.

The 26-year-old is expected to be joined in the West Midlands by teammate Ruben Neves, who will reportedly shun potential moves to the Premier League in order to sign for Wolves in a £15m deal.

The Championship team have also been linked with a move for Dynamo Dresden left-back Philip Heise.
