Former Celtic boss Gordon Strachan refuses to rule himself out of the running for the Wolverhampton Wanderers job.

Gordon Strachan has refused to rule himself out of the running for the Wolverhampton Wanderers job.

Mick McCarthy was sacked earlier this week after five years in charge at Molineux.

"In life I am happy at the moment," Strachan told BBC Sport. "You can't ask the question if I want the job unless someone asks you if you want the job first. But I still think I can offer clubs a lot."

The Scot, who has previously managed Coventry City, Southampton and Celtic, has not been on the touchline since leaving Middlesbrough in October 2010.
