Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Alfred N'Diaye backs the club to do "good things" in the Premier League if the side gain promotion to the top flight this season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Alfred N'Diaye has backed the club to do "good things" in the Premier League if Nuno Espirito Santo's men gain promotion to the top flight this season.

N'Diaye, who made a temporary move to Molineux from Villareal in the summer, has been an important player for the Championship's top club in recent weeks.

The Senegalese international told The Sun that, should Nuno's side reach the Premier League at the end of the season, he is eyeing a permanent switch to the West Midlands.

"Even in the Premier League we can play well because we know how to play and we have a good spirit," the 28-year-old said. "If we go up, we can do good things. Now I'm on loan but I really appreciate the club. We're top of the league and it's a good season.

"Let's see with the club. I hope I can stay as I feel good in Wolverhampton in my life and in football. At the beginning of the season it was not what I wanted. I was always on the bench and it was hard for me.

"But I'm a player who, even when I don't play, I give my best. Now I've started seven or eight games in a row so it's good for me and my confidence. I hope I can continue like this. We were not in our best moment before the Leeds United game and I think this performance was very important for us, our confidence and for our rivals. We showed we are still there."

Wolves defeated Leeds United 3-0 in midweek ahead of another crucial clash with Aston Villa on Saturday evening.
