Hernandez: 'West Ham exit a possibility'

Forward Javier Hernandez suggests that his West Ham United future remains up in the air ahead of the summer transfer window.

Forward Javier Hernandez has suggested that he may not remain at West Ham United past the end of the season.

Last summer, the Hammers paid £16m to bring Hernandez to the London Stadium but while the Mexican has scored seven goals in the Premier League, the striker has been given just 16 starts.

Hernandez expressed a desire to leave the East London outfit in January in order to gain more first-team football, and the former Manchester United frontman has admitted that an exit from the club is still a possibility.

The 29-year-old told Univision: "There has always been speculation as to whether I will stay or leave and I cannot guarantee anything. I have two more years of contract with West Ham, and everything will come up.

"You never know, because in the winter period I wanted to find my way out to have more minutes and could not."

Hernandez has made just two starts for West Ham since the beginning of February.
