Manager David Moyes says that his West Ham United players have remained positive despite the manner of the team's defeat to Manchester City last weekend.

Manager David Moyes has suggested that his West Ham United side have mentally recovered from the 4-1 defeat to Manchester City last weekend.

The Hammers were outclassed for large periods by the Premier League champions, with the final quarter at the London Stadium being played at a pedestrian pace due to the game already being over as a contest.

West Ham travel to Leicester City this weekend still needing points to guarantee safety, and Moyes has indicated that he has been left encouraged by his team's efforts in training.

At a press conference, the 55-year-old told reporters: "The players are good. We were really disappointed with how we played, even against the champions but overall, they are keen to put it right and their motivation and attitude has been very good.

"They know exactly what is at stake so we will all try and work together and get a positive result."

West Ham currently sit three points above the relegation zone.
