West Ham United injury, suspension list ahead of first game back

Sports Mole rounds up West Ham United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their first Premier League game back against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

West Ham United are due to return to Premier League action later this month with a home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Premier League confirmed on Friday that the fixture would take place on June 20, and there is no downplaying the importance of the game for both teams.

The Hammers have only won one of their last nine league matches during a torrid run of form, and they currently sit 16th in the table, only ahead of 18th-placed Bournemouth on goal difference.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the London club's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their first game back against Nuno Espirito Santo's team.

Jack Wilshere

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: June 20 (vs. Wolves)

Wilshere has only made six Premier League this season after struggling to overcome a troublesome groin problem. The midfielder has returned to fitness during the lockdown period, although it remains to be seen whether he will be involved in the club's comeback game against Wolves.

Ryan Fredericks

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Shoulder
Possible return date: June 20 (vs. Wolves)

The 27-year-old had been expected to miss the remainder of the season with the shoulder injury that he picked up against Manchester City on February 19. Like Wilshere, though, the lockdown period has allowed the right-back to overcome the problem, and he is expected to be available in the coming weeks.

Andriy Yarmolenko

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Abductor
Possible return date: June 20 (vs. Wolves)

Yarmolenko has not played for West Ham since the middle of December due to an abductor injury, but the 30-year-old has now fully overcome the problem and looks set to play a role for David Moyes's side as they battle to remain in England's top flight for the 2020-21 campaign.

WEST HAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

West Ham have no suspension concerns heading into their next fixture.
