West Bromwich Albion want to sign Bournemouth defender Marc Wilson on transfer deadline day, according to a report.

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly interested in signing experienced defender Marc Wilson.

Wilson spent the second half of last season on loan at the Baggies from Bournemouth, making four Premier League appearances.

It is understood that the 30-year-old is free to leave Bournemouth on transfer deadline day, and according to The Times, West Brom want to re-sign the Republic of Ireland international on a permanent deal.

Wilson started his professional career at Portsmouth, spending four years with Pompey before moving to Stoke.

He only joined Bournemouth in last summer's transfer window, but struggled to make the breakthrough into the first team, which led to his sixth-month loan spell at West Brom.
