Darren Moore's West Bromwich Albion future to be discussed next week

Moore future to be discussed next week
Stand-in West Bromwich Albion boss Darren Moore refuses to confirm whether he is interested in taking on the job permanently, but says a decision will be made next week.

Darren Moore has revealed that a decision over his West Bromwich Albion future will not be made until the Premier League season is over.

The 44-year-old has transformed the mood around The Hawthorns since replacing Alan Pardew on a caretaker basis last month, winning three and drawing two of his five matches in charge.

Despite a run of 11 points from a possible 15 over the past month, Albion were left with too much to do and suffered relegation to the Championship in midweek when Southampton edged out Swansea City.

Moore has been backed to stay on for the long term by supporters, but the former centre-back has once again refused to be drawn on whether he wants the job permanently.

"I've asked from day one, let's just complete the six games," he told reporters. "Once we get through game six, and next week once I've spoken to the chairman and the board of directors, then I'm in a clearer position where I can share the news, whatever that may be, with you."

Albion head to Crystal Palace for their final match of the Premier League season, aiming to extend their unbeaten run to six games.
