West Bromwich Albion midfielder Chris Brunt and manager Alan Pardew are allegedly involved in a row over the club's tactics after last week's loss to Huddersfield Town.

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Chris Brunt and manager Alan Pardew were allegedly involved in a row over the club's tactics following last week's 2-1 defeat to Huddersfield Town.

According to Sky Sports News, Brunt spoke out against Pardew's decision to stick with a 4-4-2 formation when the Terriers had five men in the middle of the park.

The news outlet adds that the midfielder also criticised some of his teammates for a lack of effort and desire, with the club seven points adrift in the Premier League table.

David Wagner's side took a 2-0 lead through a brace of goals in eight minutes from Rajiv van La Parra and Steve Mounie respectively, before Craig Dawson pulled one back for the Baggies.

Northern Ireland international Brunt is the second-longest serving player at The Hawthorns behind James Morrison.
