A report claims that Cardiff City boss Paul Trollope is to depart the Wales coaching staff to make way for Kit Symons, whom he replaced in the role last year.

Paul Trollope is reportedly on the brink of leaving Wales's coaching staff in order to fully concentrate on his role as manager of Cardiff City.

The 44-year-old has been a part of the Dragons' set-up since last summer when replacing Kit Symons, who himself departed to focus on his commitments with Fulham.

According to BBC Sport, the ex-Wales international will officially step down in the coming days which will allow Symons - sacked by the Cottagers last November - to take up his old position.

Trollope, who succeeded Russell Slade as Bluebirds boss in May, was a part of Wales's backroom staff as they made it all the way to the semi-final stage of Euro 2016.
