Luis Suarez admits that he and his Uruguay teammates are "not fully satisfied" with their displays so far in the World Cup, despite reaching the knockout stages.

Luis Suarez has admitted that Uruguay's players are "not fully satisfied" with their performances so far in the World Cup, despite reaching the knockout stages of the tournament.

La Celeste claimed their second consecutive 1-0 win in Russia on Wednesday, narrowly overcoming Saudi Arabia to record a perfect tally of six points and a place in the last 16.

Uruguay remain second in Group A behind the hosts, however, and Suarez - who scored the winner against the Saudis - stressed that the team will seek to improve further.

"We are not fully satisfied with how we are playing at this World Cup," the Barcelona forward told reporters at full time.

"We have achieved a good result and have got past the group stage, but there are still some things we need to improve.

"We didn't play today as we wanted. But we can be proud that it's the third World Cup in a row where we have reached the knockout stage."

Uruguay and Russia - who play each other in the final group game - are both through to the last 16 of the competition on six points apiece, while Egypt and Saudi Arabia remain on zero points.
