The world lent its heart to France on Saturday after 129 people were confirmed dead in the wake of coordinated terrorist attacks by Islamic State, who claimed responsibility.

Stade de France was one of six locations targeted by IS after a suicide bomber detonated himself outside the stadium upon being refused entry to France's friendly with Germany.

Ibrahimovic, who scored in Sweden's 2-1 first-leg playoff win, plays his club football for Paris Saint-Germain, and the 33-year-old admits that his mind was elsewhere in the lead up to last night's victory.

"I have tried to focus entirely on this game, but it was very difficult," he told reporters at full time. "It's tragic what happened there. This kind of thing should never happen."

Tuesday's friendly between England and France at Wembley will go ahead as planned despite events in the French capital.
