Federico Fernandez scored the only goal of the game to help Swansea City to a 1-0 win over Aston Villa at the Liberty Stadium.
The centre-back's opening goal for the club arrived 53 minutes in to settle a poor contest in South Wales devoid of any real chances.
Villa created just one opening in the second half when Joleon Lescott's flicked header was kept out by Lukasz Fabanski, as the Swans saw the game out for three more vital points.
