A report claims that Sunderland want to bring Borussia Dortmund centre-back Neven Subotic to the Stadium of Light this summer.

Sunderland are reportedly interested in signing Borussia Dortmund centre-back Neven Subotic.

The 27-year-old started just five Bundesliga games last season after falling behind Mats Hummels and Sokratis Papastathopoulos in the pecking order at the German club.

It is understood that Subotic will seek pastures new this summer and according to the Sunderland Echo, Sunderland will attempt to bring the Serbian international to the Stadium of Light.

The centre-back joined Dortmund from Mainz 05 in 2008 and has won two Bundesliga titles during his time with the Black and Yellows.
