Former Sunderland striker Victor Anichebe signs a deal to play for Chinese club Beijing Enterprises.

Beijing Enterprises have completed the signing of Victor Anichebe on a free transfer.

Last season, Anichebe scored three goals in 18 Premier League appearances for Sunderland, but he was unable to help the Black Cats avoid relegation to the Championship.

It was revealed that the 29-year-old would depart the Stadium of Light this summer, and it has not taken long for Anichebe to sign for another team.

The Nigerian has decided to move to China with Beijing Enterprises, who currently feature in the division below the Chinese Super League.

They sit in 11th place in the standings, but they have won four of their last five matches to sit seven points from bottom.

It will be the first time that Anichebe has played club football outside of England having previously represented Everton and West Bromwich Albion.
