A report claims that Marko Arnautovic will swap Stoke City for West Ham United in the coming days after the Hammers tabled a third offer for the Austrian forward.

West Ham United will complete the signing of forward Marko Arnautovic from Stoke City before the end of the week, according to a report.

The Hammers are understood to have had two bids rejected for the Austria international, who handed in a transfer request at the bet365 Stadium last week.

A third offer has since been lodged, however, which Sky Sports News suggests is closer to meeting Stoke's valuation - rumoured to be around £22.5m - and only the finishing touches are left to be done before confirmation is given.

Arnautovic, who has scored 26 goals for the Potters since joining from Werder Bremen for £3m in 2013, has not featured in pre-season since picking up a knee injury against Neuchatel Xamax.

West Ham are also said to be on the brink of sealing the signing of Joe Hart on loan from Manchester City, while striker Javier Hernandez is also on their radar after a quiet summer to date.
