Tottenham Hotspur forward Fernando Llorente has reiterated that it would be "nice" if he was able to retire at Athletic Bilbao.
Llorente has been frequently linked with a return to the Spanish side having spent the first eight years of his playing career at the club.
The 34-year-old is out of contract in the summer, and the frontman has acknowledged that he would be happy to have a second spell at his former side.
Llorente told Radio MARCA: "There was a lot of talk about my possible departure to Athletic but seeing the injuries that Tottenham had, I knew it would be complicated.
"It would be nice to retire at Athletic."
The player netted a total of 53 goals from 142 appearances for Bilbao in all competitions between 2005 and 2013.
