Real Madrid are reportedly monitoring Harry Kane's situation ahead at Tottenham Hotspur ahead of a possible €85m (£75.9m) move in the summer.
The Spanish giants have courted the England striker's signature for some time and they now believe that Spurs' poor start to the season could make a deal much more likely.
Tottenham's 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend took their record to just three wins from 11 competitive games this season, a start which has jeopardised the future of manager Mauricio Pochettino and the club's prospects of qualifying for next season's Champions League.
According to Don Balon, Madrid believe that if Spurs miss out on Champions League qualification, Kane would be available for a fee in the region of €50m (£44.6m) plus Welsh forward Gareth Bale.
However, the report does suggest that Bale's high wages, which currently sit at just over £15m a season, could prove a stumbling block for Spurs in any potential negotiations.body check tags ::
