Denmark boss Age Hareide says that Tottenham Hotspur attacker Christian Eriksen has more than enough quality to one day represent Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Denmark boss Age Hareide has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur attacker Christian Eriksen has more than enough quality to one day represent Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Eriksen has scored 11 times and registered 10 assists in 38 appearances for Tottenham during the 2017-18 campaign.

The 26-year-old has previously been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Barcelona, and Hareide has claimed that there are no players at either La Liga club in Eriksen's position that are better than the Dane.

"I think he is a type that can adapt to anything," Hareide told Ritzau. "Give him a ball, then the ball will speak for him wherever he is. Christian is a type that just gets better from dealing with better football players.

"When looking at the players that play centrally for Real Madrid and Barcelona, none of them are better than Christian. Luka Modric came from Tottenham to Real Madrid, and he was not as good as Christian."

Eriksen has managed 21 goals in 75 appearances for the Denmark national team.
