Tottenham Hotspur survived a late Aston Villa onslaught to record a 3-1 win at White Hart Lane.
Spurs were comfortable for much of the game, thanks to goals from Mousa Dembele and Dele Alli inside the opening 45 minutes.
Villa were given a lifeline 10 minutes from time when substitute Jordan Ayew found a way through, but despite their best efforts to rescue a point Harry Kane killed off any hope in the dying stages with a late third for his side.
